Why hire us?

Heavy-Gauge Lifting Handled

Rogue's 11-gauge steel uprights are incredibly heavy and awkward to maneuver alone. We handle the heavy lifting safely without scratching your floors or walls.

Precision 1" Hardware Torquing

A Monster series rack isn't safe if the 1-inch bolts are just hand-tightened. We use professional impact drivers and torque wrenches to ensure the entire frame is perfectly rigid and square.

Structural Concrete Anchoring

If your rig requires floor mounting, we expertly drill and set heavy-duty wedge anchors into your garage concrete so the rack never shifts during kipping pull-ups or heavy racking.

Perfect Leveling & Clearances

We account for typical garage floor slope using structural leveling shims, ensuring your j-cups and safety straps align flawlessly and the rack doesn't wobble.

Technical Guide to Assembling Rogue Fitness Racks & Rigs

Understanding the Hardware: Monster vs. Monster Lite

Rogue equipment is over-engineered. The Monster series uses massive 1-inch bolts and 11-gauge steel, requiring 1-1/2" wrenches and heavy-duty impact drivers. The Monster Lite series steps down to 5/8" hardware but is still far heavier than standard consumer gym gear. Hand-tightening is never sufficient; structural rigidity depends on specific torque values so the rack does not sway when re-racking a heavy barbell.

The Golden Rule: Squaring the Base

The most common mistake when building a Rogue power rack is tightening the base bolts before attaching the upper crossmembers. If the bottom is locked in while even slightly out of square, the top pull-up bar and crossmembers will not fit without physically forcing the uprights. The correct method is to loosely assemble the entire frame, measure the diagonals to ensure perfect squareness, level it with structural shims, and only then torque the bolts down systematically.

Wall-Mounted Fold Back Racks & Stringers

Installing a Rogue fold-back rack requires absolute precision. We highly recommend using the Rogue laser-cut wood stringers. Modern garage walls often have inconsistent stud spacing. We use deep-scan stud finders and pilot holes to locate the exact dead-center of the studs, mount the stringers with heavy-duty lag screws, and ensure the hinges are perfectly plumb. A fraction of an inch off here means the rack will either scrape the floor or refuse to fold flat against the wall.

Concrete Anchoring (Wedge Anchors)

If you are installing an RM-3, RM-6, or a freestanding rig, anchoring to the concrete floor is highly recommended, and sometimes mandatory for safety. We use professional SDS-Max rotary hammers to drill into the concrete slab and set heavy-duty concrete wedge anchors. For modern post-tension garage slabs, we exercise extreme care and evaluate depth to ensure we do not strike the internal tension cables.

Realistic Build Times & Required Tools

A simple SML-2 squat stand might take two people about 2 hours to carefully unbox and build. A fully loaded RM-6 with a cable Slinger system, weight storage pins, and concrete anchoring can take 4 to 6 hours. Required tools include a heavy-duty impact wrench, large socket sets (up to 1-1/2"), a rotary hammer drill, structural shims, and a laser level.

The R8Works Standard

As the premier team for home gym equipment assembly, we bring professional-grade tools and expertise to every job. Our comprehensive fitness equipment installation protocols ensure that whether you buy Rogue, Rep Fitness, or Titan, your equipment is structurally safe and perfectly calibrated.

Manufacturer Specs & Safety Standards

We follow the strict structural guidelines provided by the manufacturer. You can review the official hardware specifications and rack footprints directly on the Rogue Fitness Official Power Racks page. Additionally, when we install concrete wedge anchors for freestanding rigs, we adhere to the safety standards outlined by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) regarding the secure anchoring of heavy, top-heavy equipment to prevent catastrophic tipovers during dynamic lifts.

Built to Handle the Heaviest Lifts.

Rogue Fitness equipment is the gold standard for home gyms, but assembling 11-gauge steel uprights and torquing monster hardware takes time, heavy lifting, and the right tools. If you’re tackling the build yourself and get stuck on squaring the frame or figuring out the cable routing, just give us a call—we’re happy to offer free phone advice. If you’d rather skip the heavy lifting entirely, our vetted and background-checked technicians can assemble your power rack, mount your stringers, and anchor the rig securely to your garage floor the local area, leaving you with a perfectly leveled setup ready for your next workout.

Solid service. They drilled into my garage concrete to anchor my squat stand with wedge anchors. Fast, clean, and made sure nothing wobbly. 10/10.

Got an Echo Bike for my husband. The left pedal thread is reversed and I almost stripped it trying to force it in. Called for help, and they sent someone over the next day. He fixed the thread, tightened everything, and made sure the monitor worked.

Moved to a new house and needed my RML-390F disassembled, moved to the new garage, and put back together. They handled the transport and the reassembly. Stripped down all the old chalk from the pull-up bar too, which was a nice touch.

Ordered an RM-6 fully loaded with the Slinger attachment and weight storage. When the freight truck dropped off the pallet, I immediately knew I wasn't touching it. The tech spent 5 hours squaring the base and torquing the 1-inch hardware. The cable system runs buttery smooth. Definitely worth paying for the assembly on these monster racks.

The guys were great. I got stuck trying to route the Slinger cable system and the pulley was jammed. I gave up and called them. They showed up the next day, re-routed the cable properly, and made sure the tension was calibrated perfectly. Works smoother than the lat pulldown at my commercial gym.

Frequently Asked Questions

It depends on the model. Racks with the Flat Foot attachment (like the RML-390F) and standard squat stands do not strictly require bolting for basic lifting. However, if you are doing kipping pull-ups, using a Matador dip attachment, or have a standard RM-3, bolting it to the concrete is highly recommended for safety. We carry the rotary hammers and wedge anchors to handle the concrete drilling for you.
Yes, but you absolutely need the Rogue wood stringers. The stringers span across the wall, allowing us to hit your studs securely wherever they are located (even if they are 24 inches on center or offset). We then mount the heavy steel hinges directly into the stringers.
Our standard assembly service assumes the boxes are already in the room where the rack will be built. The 11-gauge steel components are extremely heavy. If you need us to move the boxes up or down flights of stairs, please let us know beforehand so we can schedule the necessary manpower.
Yes! This is the most common DIY issue. It usually means the bottom bolts were fully tightened before the top was connected, causing the uprights to angle slightly. We will loosen the frame, properly square and level it, install all crossmembers, and then re-torque everything to spec.
