i tried digging post holes myself and hit solid river rock and hardpan clay in the first 5 mins... gave up and called them. they showed up with a massive sds-max rotary hammer and busted through the ground like it was nothing. the posts are immovable. finally we have an outdoor room we can actually use! dont even try to hand dig in sacramento dirt lol
